Today I want to talk to you about a beautiful woman called Cassie. Cassie Farren is a body confidence coach and we met through the power of FB. I was surprised to learn that she lives just 10 miles down the road, (I always assume everyone I don't personally know lives miles away, FB is a strange place at times).
I contacted Cassie when she offered a free 30 minute session with her over Skype. I was interested to see what this woman was like and what her 'deal' was and I'm really glad I did. Cassie is a lovely lady really down to earth a mother of two and a business woman she is juggling balls and staying afloat so I totally admire her for that as I only have one child and I struggle.
After our call Cassie contacted me via email having found out I was a photographer and knowing how close we were to each other she wanted to use my photography services. Cassie had won a business grant and with the money she was producing a book 'The Girl who refused to Quit' based on the ups and downs she had been through ( I won't go into details you can read it all in her book available here). She needed a new head shot for FB and wanted to create a cover for her book. So it was arranged and in August Cassie arrived at my Home for her session. The lovely Rachel Harmer was my makeup and hair artist for the day, she enhanced Cassie's already beautiful features and we were set to go.
We grated her casual headshots in my home studio using the beautiful August light and it was a mad dash to chase the sunset. Cassie had a vision for her cover of a power pose at sunset on the beach. Well no beaches in Northamptonshire but we do have some beautiful lakes and reservoirs . We headed for Garfham Waters which is where Cassie was spending the weekend with her family. It was a stunning setting and an awesome sunset we played around with the power pose and then just before the sun set completely I took a few quick portraits. It's funny sometimes how best laid plans turn out because once Cassie and her book designer and editor had seen the images it was one of these quick after thought portraits that made the front cover.
I am extremely proud to have my image gracing the front cover of Cassie's book and to have her headshot included in the book too. She is a fantastic lady and the book form what I already know of Cassie is well worth a read. I can't wait to get my copy you can buy it here and see the front cover in all its glory here. Cassie I wish you every success with the book and the future of your business.
Have a Great Week
